Vesak, Ganjar Pranowo Joins In Enlivening The Release Of Thousands Of Lanterns In Borobudur

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo also felt a vibration of happiness at the peak of the commemoration series of Trisuci Vesak Day 2567 BE/2023 in the Borobudur Temple Area, Sunday night, June 4. According to him, religious harmony was recorded at the annual event.

Ganjar, who came with his wife, Siti Atikoh, said he was happy to see the enthusiasm of the community. As a representative of the government in the regions, Ganjar is happy because the celebration of Trisuci Vesak can return to life with great fanfare.

"It's amazing, so one side for Buddhists to celebrate Vesak with joy, we as a government certainly feel the vibration of happiness," said Ganjar.

Moreover, the release of the lanterns which became the final event from the 2023 Waisak commemoration series has been carried out again. This activity is an anticipated activity, because it can be followed by the general public.

"Hopefully this shows harmony among religious communities and the community. And everyone can enjoy this Borobudur Temple area, some travel, some worship, and all are full of tolerance," he said.

On that occasion, Ganjar Pranowo previously told the minister's story to sign a piece of paper containing a number of commitments. Ganjar said the paper contained a long dream of developing the Borobudur Temple area which had not yet been implemented.

In this regard, Ganjar as the Governor of Central Java Province is also committed to supporting industry, especially tourism in Borobudur Temple, so that it can develop more.

"We must encourage it continuously. So we start communicating with the industry, with community groups, so that everything can be turned into one better benefit. Of course, our movement is starting to work, even everyone is committed to the same thing," said Ganjar Pranowo.
