Semarang Police are investigating the alleged murder of a man whose body was found in a concrete casting at a refilling water station on Jalan Mulawarman Raya, Tembalang, Semarang City, Central Java.
Kasatreskrim Semarang Polrestabes AKBP Donny Lumbantoruan said the discovery of the body stemmed from the suspicion that one of the former employees at the water filling site was suspicious of the foul smell at the business premises that had been closed for several days.
"There are reports from the public to the police because they are suspicious of a foul smell, then they see the legs whose body parts are casting concrete," Donny said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 8.
The officer who received the report then came to the location and dismantled the concrete containing the human body. He explained that the witness who knew about the incident was first suspicious because the place of business refilling the water had been closed since three days ago.
According to Donny, the body was found in a concrete casting condition, except on the legs. Officers evacuated the victim's body for further autopsy.
