JAKARTA - Former Director of Investigation of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Brigadier General Endar Priantoro said he was forced to make a report on a criminal act (LKTPK) even though the results of the case title or exposure had not been carried out. This force has been reported to the Supervisory Board.
"I also report allegations of coercion in making reports of criminal acts (LKTPK) against one of the investigation cases prior to the results of the exposure which decided that there was a criminal act," Endar said in a written statement, Wednesday, April 12.
It did not specify what cases the report forced. However, Endar stated that the pressure from one of the leaders of the anti-corruption commission violated the rules.
"This is clearly a violation of criminal procedural law and this is an act against the law," said Endar.
Endar hopes that this allegation will be followed up by the KPK Supervisory Board. Likewise with other reports, such as his dismissal to the leaking of investigation documents.
"During my tenure in this position (Director of Investigation), I try to act according to the applicable law and prioritize justice," said the member of the Bhayangkara Corps.
Meanwhile, KPK Council Member Syamsuddin Haris confirmed the forced publication of the business report. He said, Endar was the reporter and the reported was the Chairman of the KPK, Firli Bahuri.
However, Syamsuddin was reluctant to elaborate on the forced case. "I exactly forgot. Because Dewas currently receives a lot of complaints reports," he said.
As previously reported, Brigadier General Endar Priantoro reported Firli and the Secretary General of the KPK Cahya H. Harefa to the KPK Supervisory Board. This report was carried out in the aftermath of his removal from the position he held, namely the Director of Investigation.
Endar was respectfully dismissed on March 31 after he was returned to the National Police. However, the Bhayangkara Corps member was instead asked to return to the KPK according to the order of the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
In addition, on another occasion Firli was also reported to Dewas for allegedly leaking documents of investigation into alleged corruption at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources by Endar.
Similar reports have also been made by former KPK leaders, namely Abraham Samad, Bambang Widjojanto, and Saut Situmorang with the Civil Society Coalition on Monday, April 10.
