Toyota Presents Updates To Fortuner GR Sport With More Power For Thai Market

JAKARTA - A Japanese vehicle manufacturer, Toyota, has officially brought a refresher to its large-dimensional SUV, Fortuner GR Sport, for the Thai market. The changes cover various aspects of this car, one of which includes the heart of the runway. In addition, Toyota provides various components of its higher-performance division, Gazoo Racing (GR), to Fortuner.

Reported on the padalan page, Jum'at, August 4, the most significant change was the power center. Equipped with a 1GD-FTV 2.8 liter 4-cylinder engine with a turbodiesel alert has been upgraded to 221 dk and a 550 Nm torque.

The machine used at the 2023 Fortuner GR Sport matches the engine specifications of the Hilux GR Sport sold in Australia. Although, in terms of power, the SUV is 20 dk superior and the torque is 50 Nm superior to the pickup.

Although the heart runway sector is increased, Toyota is still embedding an automatic transmission system of six accelerations combined with four-wheel drive and a middle shift.

The interior also does not change significantly. The Fortuner GR Sport interior is equipped with a 4.2-inch instrument display that can provide vehicle information, a 9-inch touch screen on the head of the unit. The infotainment system is also supported by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

To improve comfort in this vehicle, manufacturers present wireless device chargers, panoramic viewing monitors, as well as Toyota Sensing safety radar features which include Pre-Collition System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Protective Driving Assist.

The exterior is also equipped with several components of GR such as a sporty-looking bumper, monotube damping, disc brakes from GR, 20-inch rims, aluminum pedals from GR, and start buttons.

With these offers, customers can have the Fortuner GR Sport at a price of 1.9 million baht or equivalent to Rp. 847.6 million. Customers are also offered the black roof option with the Emotional Red and Platinum White Pearl colors by adding 20,000 baht or Rp. 8.7 million.
