Ahead Of The ASEAN Summit, 1600 Joint Officers Clean The Sidewalk And Fasum On The Central Jakarta Protocol Line

A total of 1600 officers from the Central Jakarta City Government cleaned a number of public facilities such as sidewalks, Kanstin and a number of protocol roads located at 8 points in Central Jakarta on Friday, July 28, evening.

The cleaning of the sidewalk public facilities was carried out ahead of the ASEAN Summit (KTT).

"Tonight's activity is cleaning the sidewalks, coincidentally after the anniversary of Jakarta we cleaned it, we will also welcome the Indonesian Independence Day. After that, we will also host meetings with Governors and Mayors in ASEAN. Automatically, we have to improve this cleaning and tidying," said Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma to VOI in the HI Roundabout area, Menteng, Friday, July 28, evening.

Dhany explained that the purpose of this cleaning activity is to beautify the city of Jakarta and provide a sense of comfort and security in the capital.

"This is a simultaneous activity in 8 sub-districts. Each sub-district involves 200 personnel, so in total there are 1600 personnel spread across each sub-district. Tonight we will move all of them," he said.

Based on VOI monitoring at the location, PPSU officers, Bina Marga and the Environment worked hand in hand to clean the sidewalks. The officers cleaned by spraying water by Gulkarmat officers using water tankers.

Meanwhile, PPSU officers blocked the sidewalk using floor cleaning liquid. Furthermore, the sidewalk drying process was carried out by officers from the Central Jakarta Highways Sub-Department.

Meanwhile, the Assistant for the Economy and Development (Asekbang) of the Central Jakarta City Government, Bakwan Ferizan Ginting, added that apart from cleaning the sidewalks, the joint team also cleaned a number of bicycle lane sticks on the protocol route.

"We also clean the stick cone, check the cleanliness of the garbage and others. Of course, it has been divided by the management (cleaning process), so that we make sure this area is clean," he added.
