Warner Music Group Collaborates With Licensing With TikTok To Increase Revenue From Social Media
JAKARTA - Warner Music Group, the record labeling conglomerate behind artists such as Radiohead, AC/DC, and Madonna, has signed a license agreement with China's short video app, TikTok, to increase its social media revenue.
This multi-year deal will help Warner Music's artists and songwriters increase their revenue and marketing opportunities through more than 1 billion TikTok users, the two companies announced on Tuesday, July 18. Unfortunately, the financial details of this deal were not disclosed.
Social media platforms like TikTok have seen many new artists gain popularity when content featuring their music goes viral, helping them gain big record contracts.

In this new deal, Warner Music artists and songwriters will also gain access to TikTok brand partners such as WorldWestling Entertainment (WE), as well as new monetization features such as merchandise, ticket sales, and digital goods.
This agreement licenses Warner Recorded Music and Warner Chappell Music collections for TikTok, TikTok Music - the premium streaming service of the social media application, video editor CapCut, and TikTok Commercial Music Bibliography.
