Constraints Of Rapid Train Trials, KCJB Consultants Highlight Residents Playing Kites

Chen said the trial of combining inspection trains or CITs with electric multiple units (EMU) or passenger trains had been carried out for three days.
"If today's results are good, today (the test) has been completed which (coupled) 16 carriages. Today, the plan is to be tested until 6.30 pm. The speed tested is from 250 to 350 km/hour," he said.

When asked about the obstacles faced during the trial process, Chen admitted that he had problems at kilometer 109.
He said, the kite thread that was flown by residents was caught on top of the high-speed train.
"At kilometer 109 we find obstacles because someone is playing kites. Then the rope goes into the cable above," he said.
For this reason, Chen said the need for public awareness in the KCJB track area not to play kites. He said, the KCJB track must be completely sterile so as not to endanger passengers or the community.
