Cailee Spaeny Becomes Elvis Presley's Wife In Priscilla's Film Teaser

JAKARTA - One year after the release of the Elvis film, now a film about his wife is titled Priscilla. Directed by Sofia Coppola, this film will highlight the story from a point of view as Elvis Presley's wife.

The 46-second teaser launched by A24 shows several scenes between Priscilla, played by Cailee Spaeny and Elvis, played by Jacob Elordi. The two went through various processes ranging from meeting for the first time to deciding to getting married.

The film takes a story based on Elvis and Me's memoir written by Priscilla Presley in 1985.

Priscilla tells the story of a woman named Priscilla Beaulieu, a teenager who meets Elvis Presley at a party. Elvis's figure who has become a superstar turned out to be a fun man when he was with Priscilla.

Through Priscilla's view, Sofia Coppola gave a mythary side to America in Elvis and Priscilla's marriage, from a German base to a property like a dream in Graceland in this portrait of love, fantasy, and fame that was felt and detailed," the official synopsis shared by A24.

Accompanied by the song How You Satisfy Me from Spectrum, the shift in Priscilla's scene is presented in this film. It transforms from a teenager who undergoes adolescence, to military times, to marriage, pregnancy, to popularity.

In addition to the two, this film also stars Raine Monroe Boland, Emily Mitchell, Dagmara Domiengczyk, Jorja Cadence, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll, and Luke forced.

Priscilla's film is the third collaboration between Sofia Coppola and the production house A24. Previously he directed The Bling Ring (2013) and On the Rocks (2020).

Unlike the Elvis film, starring Austin Butler, Priscilla will make Elvis's ex-wife the main focus of the story.

The film Priscilla will air in October theatrically.
