Deputy Minister Of Religion Invites ASN To Succeed In Safe And Peaceful Elections, Don't Be Divided By Different Choices
Deputy Minister of Religion (Wamenag) Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi invited the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) to participate in overseeing a healthy and democratic political process.
"We all have to play a role in the success of a safe, orderly and peaceful election. Don't because political differences make us divided and hostile to each other," Deputy Minister of Religion Zainut was quoted as saying by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 30.
Deputy Minister of Religion Zainut said that the Ministry of Religion's ASN should not get involved with identity politics. ASN should be able to maintain and provide understanding to the public that politics must be based on religious values and for the sake of benefit.
According to him, whoever is elected later in the presidential election must be the nation's best sons and daughters. ASN Ministry of Religion does not need to participate in using terms that corner groups.
"ASN Kemenag must be upright and play a role in the success of the democratic party for a safe and peaceful presidential election," he said.
On the one hand, the Deputy Minister of Religion also said that religious organizations play an important role in maintaining Indonesian unity and unity in the political year.

Zainut said the momentum of succession of leadership must run peacefully, politely, ethically, and dignifiedly, and not trapped in identity politics practices. This is because identity politics has the potential to divide the life of the nation and state.
Therefore, said the Deputy Minister of Religion, the principle of moderation in politics is important to be implemented with the citizens of the nation, so that differences in choice do not become the reason for the birth of divisions.
"I hope that the leaders of Islamic organizations, scholars, and religious leaders are able to invite the public to maintain the values of brotherhood, harmony, and unity," he said.
