Vice President Agrees To Form A Task Force To Investigate IDR 349 Trillion Of Odd Transactions At The Ministry Of Finance
BANJARMASIN - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin supports the move by the Money Laundering Committee (TPPU) to form a task force that will investigate odd transactions worth IDR 349 trillion at the Ministry of Finance.
"I think the government will support it, that's good and so it's clear because there are unclear issues," said the Vice President on the sidelines of a working visit in Banjarmasin, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 11.
He hopes that with the task force, it will be clear where and where the flow of the trillions of rupiah odd funds went.
"Which one actually happened that was not in accordance with the rules, which one received the funds illegally, now that needs research. So, it's not just numbers, but I don't know what the details are," said the vice president.
He emphasized that with the task force, it is hoped that efforts will not occur again to accuse certain parties unclearly.
"I think it's important, in my opinion, the task force is important and indeed in order to prevent corruption," he said.
Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD conveyed that the National Coordination Committee for the Prevention and Eradication of TPPU (TPPU Committee) would form a joint team or task force (task force) to investigate cases of marijuana transactions at the Ministry of Finance.
"The National Committee for the Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering or the Money Laundering Committee will soon form a joint team or task force that will conduct supervision to follow up on the entire LHA/LHP (report on the results of the PPATK examination results) with an aggregate value of more than Rp. 349 trillion," Mahfud said at a press conference at the PPATK Office, Jakarta, Monday last week.
