NAGAN RAYA - Investigator of the Corruption Crime Unit (Tipikor) of Nagan Raya Police, Aceh Province, conducted an examination of HM Jamin Idham, the former Regent of Nagan Raya for the 2017-2022 period. HM Jamin Idham was present alone after being escorted by a white car, to the Nagan Raya Police Satreskrim Building wearing white clothes and wearing a cap. "We examined him as a witness in the alleged corruption crime of levies of Rp. 7 million per village, sourced from village funds,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Nagan Raya Police, Aceh, AKP Machfud to reporters in Suka Makmue, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, June 13. The police conducted an examination of HM Jamin Idham regarding a case of alleged levy of Rp. 7 million per village, which allegedly occurred in Darul Makmur District, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh, occurred in 2020. The number of villages that received the levy reached dozens of villages, and the levy allegedly sourced from the village funds was allegedly coordinated by a sub-district head. Meanwhile, the village funds collected from each village head (Keuchik), he said, were allegedly used to buy land in a village in Darul Makmur District, Nagan Raya Aceh Regency. AKP Machfud said the examination of the former Regent of Nagan Raya Aceh was a series of investigations into alleged corruption crimes currently being handled by the local police.

"Currently the investigation is still ongoing, we will report it to our media friends later," concluded AKP Machfud.
