BALI - A Canadian citizen (WN) with the initials SG was arrested by the Bali Police. He is suspected of being an Interpol fugitive.
The Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Stefanus Satake Bayu Setianto, confirmed the arrest. He was arrested on May 20, 2023.
Bayu explained that the incident began based on an arrest warrant with Number: SP.Kap/47/V/2023/Ditreskrimum, dated May 20, 2023. On that basis, his party arrested the Canadian citizen who was suspected of being Interpol's fugitive.
"Unit 1 Sub-Directorate 4 of the Bali Police Ditreskrimum has arrested and detained the subject of the red notice of a Canadian citizen," Bayu said in a statement seen on Sunday, June 4.
