JABAR - The Cianjur Regency Government (Pemkab) noted that earthquake victims had disbursed house construction stimulant assistance reaching 95 percent or 56,687 recipients out of a total of 64,889 registered prospective recipients.

Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Cianjur Dindin Regency said the figure was an earthquake victim who had disbursed stimulant assistance for stages I, II and III with minor, moderate and severe damage to houses.

"For recipients of home repair assistance due to the earthquake as of April 30, 2023, 95 percent of the total 64,889 families have been able to build and return home before Eid al-Adha," he said in Cianjur, Sunday, May 7, as reported by Antara.

Dindin detailed that the recipients of stage I stimulant assistance that had been included in the recipient data were 8,316 families, while those who had disbursed with mild damage to the house were 3,622 people, moderately damaged 2,463 people and heavily damaged 1,823 people.

For stage II, there were 13,926 recipients who had been included in the recipient data and 7,619 people who had disbursed with lightly damaged houses, 3,521 people were moderately damaged and 1,850 people were heavily damaged.

"While the remaining 5 percent of each stage is still in the disbursement process due to various obstacles such as changes in damage and completeness of personal data for prospective recipients," he said.

Meanwhile, for Phase III disbursement of the total recipients submitted as many as 34,445 recipients with data on houses severely damaged as many as 3,277 people, moderately damaged 2,240 people and lightly damaged 3,976 people who have disbursed assistance only 27.6 percent.

He hopes that the residents who receive assistance can immediately disburse aid to rebuild their houses, so they no longer live in tents and emergency housing. His party also asked residents to use the aid money to build houses, not for daily needs.

"Every recipient who carries out independent development must still make a development progress report because the funds received are gradual. When there are no reports, the possibility of further disbursement will be hampered," he said.
