JAKARTA - The 2023 Cannes Film Festival which took place from May 16 to 27 at Cannes, France was attended by Indonesian artists. There were three artists who were present there, namely Raline Shah, Cinta Laura, and Putri Marino.

This year's Cannes Film Festival will be Raline Shah's second year. He was present to fulfill various invitations from several parties, including to represent Chopard, a global jewelry brand that is one of the sponsors of the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, Bvlgari, and management of Los Angeles-based artists and houses him in the United States, Artist International Group led by David Unger.

"For me, the Cannes Film Festival is an event that not only provides festival excitement, but also important for professionals in the field of films like me to recharge myself, learn new things, work together and share experiences with many people from various fields," Raline said in a press release Tuesday, May 23.

Raline teamed up with Indonesian designers from North Sumatra, namelycal Baker and Diaz Patria to design the dresses he would wear in a series of events at the Cannes Film Festival.

Cinta Laura wants to voice the greatness of women in Indonesia while attending the international film festival, the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, which will be held from 16 to 27 May.

He assessed that Indonesia in the eyes of the global community is often described as a country that is rampant with poverty, radicalism, and natural disasters.

Whereas behind it all, Cinta explained, Indonesia is a very diverse country from the cultural aspect and has successful women in the fields of business, entertainment, and other sectors of work.

"There are so many female figures who are inspiring, innovative, and also make various breakthroughs in the industry," said Cinta as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 24.

"So what I hope to do when I go to Cannes Film Festival is show the world (so what I want to do when I go to the Cannes Film Festival later is to show the world) that there are so many Indonesian women who are very great, educated, talented, bold, and not inferior to any woman in this world," said Cinta.

Together with Cinta, Putri Marino was also present at the Cannes Film Festival as an ambassador for a beauty product. They made thorough preparations by taking inspiration from various statues references, past royal fashion, folklore, and Indonesian cultural heritage wastra as the theme of the dress that will be worn by Cinta and Putri.
