This Economist Projects The Potential For FIFA Match Day Indonesia Vs Argentina Economic Turnover To Reach IDR 500 Billion

JAKARTA - Economist and researcher at the Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (INDEF) Ahmad Heri Firdaus projects that Argentina's FIFA Matchday event will be profitable for the Indonesian economy.

Ahmad said that the match that presented Lionel Messi cs was projected to increase the circulation of money by Rp500 billion.

"The impact of all activities towards the FIFA Matchday Indonesia vs Argentina match is expected to improve the community's economy, including MSME players," he told the media quoted on Saturday, June 10.

He explained that sales of merchandise and other MSME products are expected to grow more advanced economic activity. This was conveyed by researchers

He further added that the circulation of money could be obtained not only in terms of ticket sales, but also from other affected aspects.

"Judging from various aspects, such as merchandise, broadcasting rights, sponsorship, accommodation, transportation, food and beverage industry players, including MSME players in the sector, makes the circulation of money reach approximately Rp. 500 billion. So it is estimated that by the end of the day, economic activities from upstream to downstream to downstream to derivative industries will be more crowded because they are encouraged by this match," said Ahmad Heri Firdaus.
