The 2024 Perintical Transport Subsidy Budget Allocation Is IDR 4.1 Trillion
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) stated that the budget allocation for pioneer subsidies in all modes of transportation in 2024 is IDR 4.1 trillion.
"Subsidi ini memang rada kurang sehingga kami harus melakukan realalokasi terhadap dana-funda dari sektor yang lain," kata Menteri Perhub (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi dalam rapat kerja dengan Komisi V DPR dilansir ANTARA, Selasa, 6 Juni.
In detail, of the total budget allocation of IDR 4.1 trillion, land transportation received an allocation of IDR 1.5 trillion for 327 road transportation routes, 33 intermodal transportation routes, and 7 freight transport routes. In addition, there is an allocation of pioneer crossings for 274 routes and rorolong distance ferry for 2 routes.
In addition, the budget is also allocated for urban transportation in 10 cities and urban transportation to support the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).
Meanwhile, the budget allocation for pioneer subsidies is also intended for the railway sector of Rp176.98 billion for 7 pioneer subsidies.
As for air transportation, Rp554 billion was allocated for 42 cargo pioneer routes, 220 passenger pioneer routes, 1 cargo subsidy route, 1,683 cargo fuel subsidies and 8,759 passenger fuel subsidies.

Meanwhile, in sea transportation, the budget allocation is IDR 1.87 trillion for 117 sea pioneer routes, 6 animal ship routes, 35 sea toll routes and 16 rede ship services.
The budget allocation for pioneer subsidies does not include PSO subsidies for public transportation.
Budi Karya said that from the DIPA Ministry of Finance, there are also two types of PSO subsidies that are provided for public transportation, namely Rail PSO worth Rp4.7 trillion for intercity, urban, and LRT Jabodebek rail services as well as PSO subsidies for sea transportation of Rp3.2 trillion.
"From DIPA we get Rp4.7 trillion (for railways). The sea gets a very large portion of Rp3.2 trillion, especially related to experiments and sea highways," he said.
