Not Finding The Middle Way, Central Kalimantan Dishut Ready To Facilitate The Mediation Of Trikorindotama Wanakarya Who Is Conflicting
Head of the Forestry Service (Kadishut) of South Kalimantan Province, Fathimatuzzahra, asked Tabalong Regency residents who are in conflict with PT Trikorindotama Wanakarya to resolve the conflict of peace through deliberation."I haven't received a report yet, but if needed, the South Kalimantan Dishut is ready to facilitate a meeting with a conflict party," said South Kalimantan Kadishhut Fathimatuzzahra when confirmed in Banjarbaru, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, May 30.Fathimatuzzahra said that his party would provide mediation if the conflict between residents and the company did not find a middle ground.Previously, PT Trikorindotama Wanakarya (TWK) carried out forest logging activities in the Usih Village area, Bintang Ara District, Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan.Based on reports from residents in Bintang Ara District, dozens of residents came to the Camat and discussed with the Tabalong Forest Management Unit (KPH) along with the local Police and Koramil.The resident conveyed a complaint regarding tree felling by PT TWK that spread to rubber plantations, which residents said had used for generations from gardening.Fathimatuzzahra said PT TWK received direct permission from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK)."All permits are granted by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, I can provide solutions if the coordinates between the company's land and the residents' gardens are known," he said.According to Fathimatuzzahra, although the land belongs to the company, it must still be discussed with local residents.Meanwhile, the Head of the Tabalong Regency KPH Heryadi said that his party had coordinated with the local government but was still waiting for confirmation from the company for deliberation."“ We have invited the company but there has been no answer," he said.
Heryadi said the notification to the company had been submitted via electronic media to attend the meeting again with local residents.
