Aldi Taher Confirmed KPU Enters The Management Of The UN DPP But Participates In Candidates In Perindo

JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta has communicated with the Crescent Star Party (PBB) regarding the clarity of artist Aldi Taher as a candidate for member of the 2024 Regional House of Representatives (DPRD).

"Today we have confirmed it to the UN regarding it," said the Commissioner of the DKI Jakarta KPU for Election Implementation Technical Affairs, Nurdin, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 23.

According to Nurdin, the United Nations said Aldi Taher was included in the management of the party's Central Leadership Council (DPP). But on the other hand, Aldi also ran for a member of the DPR from the Perindo Party.

If Aldi Taher decides to run with Perindo for the DPR seat, then the UN must hand over the replacement for Aldi Taher.

"If, for example, advancing in the Perindo Party, it means that he must resign, then his successor will be prepared," said Nurdin.

Nurdin ensured that the replacement process could only be carried out after the KPU carried out the verification process for the legislative candidate.

PBB proposed celebrity Aldi Taher and boxing promoter Asmara Roni as balaleg to compete for seats in the DKI Jakarta DPRD in the 2024 General Election.

"From the electoral district (election area) in Central Jakarta, there is AldiTaher. That is Dewi Persik's ex-husband," said the chairman of the DKI Jakarta PBB Regional Leadership Council (DPW), Saeful when met at the DKI General Election Commission (KPU), Saturday (13/5).

Saeful said, Aldi Taher is one of several names proposed by the United Nations to compete in the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

Apart from Aldi Taher, Asmara Roni, who is known as a national boxing promoter, also joined the United Nations.
