Encouraging Cybersecurity Knowledge, Kaspersky Introduces Academy Alliance To Universities

JAKARTA - Kaspersky launched the Academy Alliance, its new partnership program for higher education institutions, to integrate Kaspersky's latest cybersecurity and technology expertise into teaching.

Kaspersky Academy Alliance, is part of the company's commitment to developing cybersecurity skills and knowledge worldwide.

According to the global cybersecurity company, the contribution to education is part of their mission to build a safer world and a prosperous society.

For more than a decade Kaspersky has collaborated with higher education institutions, shared knowledge with students, organized contests, conferences, and opened internship opportunities.

Kaspersky Academy Alliance offers two types of membership: association membership and continuation. Both are suitable for higher education institutions that have Informatics, Applied Information or Computer Science training programs in its portfolio, training more than 400 undergraduate and specialist students, and more than 50 master students each year.

Meanwhile, continued options have additional requirements for organizations to provide training on information security for at least 50 students.

"Kaspersky Academy Alliance consolidates our decades-long partnership experience with universities around the world," said Maria Gritsan, Kaspersky Academy Director in a statement received in Jakarta.

The program combines Kaspersky's in-depth insight into university needs, and understanding of the most effective educational format.

"At Kaspersky we believe that education is one of the main drivers of the safe future that we want to build, while also paying special attention to social projects," he concluded.
