NASA To Launch Its Independent Streaming Service, NASA + End Of Year!

JAKARTA - NASA is improving its digital platform by modernizing its website, adding streaming services, and improving NASA's app, as many people demand.

"Our vision is to inspire humanity through a united and world-class NASA web experience," said Jeff Seaton, head of information at the agency's head office in Washington, in an announcement on NASA's official website.

Therefore, Seaton said that modernizing NASA's main website is an important first step in making agency information more accessible, discovered, and safe for more people.

In addition, a streaming service called NASA+ is scheduled to launch later this year. Through ad-free streaming services, free of charge, users will gain access to NASA's original video series collection, including multiple launches of new series with streaming services.

"Changing our digital presence will help us tell stories about how NASA explores unknown things in the air and space, inspires through discovery, and innovates for humanitarian purposes," said Marc Etkind, partner administrator, Communication Office, NASA Headquarters.

NASA+ will be available on most major platforms via NASA Apps on iOS and Android mobile devices, streaming services such as Roku, Apple TV, and Fire TV, as well as on the web across desktop and mobile devices.

"From research on exoplanets to better understanding the Earth's climate and the influence of the Sun on our planet along with our exploration of the solar system, our new science and flagship websites, as well as upcoming NASA+ videos, feature our discovery program in an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral manner, ultimately building a stronger connection with visitors and our viewers," concluded Nicky Fox, partner administrator, Science Mission Directorate, NASA Headquarters.
