JAKARTA - Android and iOS users can now try out Microsoft's Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot, on Bing, Edge, and Skype via their mobile phones.
The mobile app is available in preview starting today and includes new features such as voice search and access to its AI chatbot.
Microsoft envisions its new Bing and Edge apps acting as a copilot for the web. The company highlights that 64 percent of searches occur on the phone.
Microsoft explained in its official blog, quoted Thursday, February 23, on the Bing mobile application, users can tap the Bing icon to start a chat session, where they can ask various questions via text or with their voice.
Answers can be displayed bullet-by-point, in simplified responses or traditional text formats. Users will also be able to access updates for Bing via the Edge mobile app homepage.
Apart from that, Microsoft is also presenting Bing for its AI-powered Skype video-conferencing application. The tool can be added to group chats and users can ask questions.
Later, the chatbot will provide answers for the entire group. Finally, users can summon Bing (via @Bing) from Skype group chats with friends, asking Bing for recommendations, jokes, suggestions, and more.
Similar to the Bing mobile app, answers can be displayed in bullet points, simplified responses, or text format. Bing on Skype is available in preview worldwide.

For your information, the AI-powered update for the Bing search engine and Edge browser was originally released by Microsoft for the desktop version and is in a limited preview.
The company is also just starting to expand Bing chats to six rounds per session (up from five) and 60 chats per day (up from 50).
The daily limit will soon increase to 100 chats. Microsoft said regular searches will no longer count towards that total.
