JAKARTA - Snap Inc. announced the launch of its new Ray Tracing feature on Wednesday, February 15th which is now available in Snapchat's Lens Studio, to developers worldwide.

Augmented reality (AR) technology is now one of the technologies that are being loved by everyone. With AR, you can try certain products directly without having to go to the original store.

AR gives you the ability to try things virtually, whether indoors or even on your body.

"Today, we are excited to announce that Ray Tracing is now available in Lens Studio to developers worldwide," wrote Snap Inc. in the announcement on the official blog.

Snap notes, Ray Tracing itself is a technical capability that enhances the realism of augmented reality experiences by reflecting light on digital objects.

"Now, Lenses featuring AR diamond jewelry, clothing, and more can achieve an ultra-realistic quality," the company added.

To make its debut, Snap teamed up with international jewelry brand Tiffany & Co to come up with a new Tiffany Lock Lens name on the Snapchat app globally on iOS and Android.

"Tiffany & Co is the first brand to leverage Ray Tracing on Snapchat with their new Tiffany Lock Lens," said Snap.

This lens allows you to try on a Tiffany Lock bracelet using AR, and when you feel comfortable with the product, you can buy it directly without having to leave the app.
