JAKARTA - American telecommunications company T-Mobile is expanding its free Wi-Fi network to United Airlines domestic flights, for several eligible T-Mobile customers.

Now, T-Mobile customers can stay connected from takeoff to landing onwards on hundreds of other flights, including United Airlines! Mike Sievert, CEO of T-Mobile, was quoted Monday, September 26.

So, postpaid subscribers Magenta Max and Magenta T-Mobile have had access to similar deals on Alaska Airlines and Delta flights, but now United is also participating.

But what needs to be known is, if you are a customer of the T-Mobile Magelata package, free access to Wi-Fi on flights will be limited to four flights per year. Meanwhile, Magenta Max users will get free access during unlimited flights.

This move was taken as a boost to T-Mobile's sustainability to add more intensive to its top-end plans like free Apple TV Plus, future SpaceX Starlink connectivity prospects, and 5GB high-speed data while traveling overseas.

Furthermore, the latter is part of T-Mobile's Coverage Beyond campaign to take advantage of the increase in travel now that the pandemic is over.

"Coverage Beyond launched on 737, MAX8, MAX9 United, certain 757-300 and certain A319 with Wi-Fi supported by Viasat and Thales InFlyt Experience with more flights and Wi-Fi partners will be added soon", the company concluded.

On the other hand, T-Mobile US Inc revealed plans to collaborate with SpaceX's Starlink satellite. T-Mobile will use Starlink satellites to provide network access to mobile users in parts of the United States.
