YUGEN Presents Energic Music Through Fantasy Songs

KARTA - YUGEN, a vocal group consisting of Adhiew, Dipto, Badminton Ken and Tino, released a new single titled Fantasy earlier this September.

The new song from the vocal group that focuses on the rock, alternative, screamo, and metal genres is a song that describes a person's enthusiasm in achieving his dream.

With an alternative rock feel, Fantasy was chosen as the theme song from the Indonesian Children's Fantasy Academy event held by Anico.ID.

Regarding the production of songs, YUGEN personnel worked on part of the song separately at their respective homes. This is because they live in different cities.

"For vocal recordings, we all record at home and then collect them for further processing," said Ken in his statement, Tuesday, September 19.

For arrangements and music production, Dipto plays guitar, bass and drums. While Ken gives a touch to synthesisers.

"Because the timeline is short, we really blank. Ken's message is just asking for a root key in D. When I finished making the song's framework, Ken tried to make his vocal arrangements in the afternoon," said Dipto regarding the process of composing the song Fantasy.

"And that night we all voice calls and immediately make lyrics and make guides. The recording is only about three days into it," he continued.

For information, YUGEN, which was formed in August 2022, is known for its energetic appearance in many events. They often perform anime songs, VOCALOID and other popular Japanese songs.

So far, YUGEN has appeared in many prestigious events with Japanese nuances in Jakarta and its surroundings, such as CLAS: H Urban Festival, Waku Waku Festival, Momijigari Festival and Jak-Japan Matsuri 2022.
