JAKARTA - In an interview with Primordial Radio, former Van Halen bassist and current frontman Mammoth WVH Wolfgang Van Halen spoke of his love for Swedish tech-metal pioneer Meshuggah.

"I could fall asleep listening to Meshuggah; they made me very relaxed," Wolfgang said.

"If you are familiar with Meshuggah, you may know the song Bleed," he continued.

"Meshuggah is just one of my favorite bands. They are amazingly heavy nothing heavier than them but you are lulled by their rhythm.

"As a musician who originally played drums, I fell in love with rhythmic music, and nothing is more rhythmic than Meshuggah.

"After hearing [Bled], you may not be able to fall asleep because of that, but, man, I can, because I like it," he added.

Last November, Wolfgang told TellUs Rock that he listened to Meshuggah when she didn't write songs, record, and perform.

"Saya suka Meshuggah," katanya. "Saya cenderung mendengarkan, setidaknya baru-baru ini, musik yang lebih berat. Seperti semua hal baru yang keluar. Animlas As Leaders merilis album baru tahun ini, begitu pula Mshuggah.

"But Meshuggah is one of my favorite bands. [They] are not like Mammoth."
