Kiesha Alvaro plays Fajar, the second of four siblings who is cool and quiet. Siksa Neraka is Anggy Umbara's latest horror movie which tells the story of four children who are tortured and keep secrets from their families.
“I was at home, relaxing, suddenly I got a call about a new project from the Dee Company for the movie Siksa Neraka. Chatting with the manager, what movie is this, is it really 'hell' or is it just trying to use figurative language. It turns out that it is really a movie that will visualize hell with various torments. Wow, this is crazy!" said Kiesha Alvaro to VOI one afternoon.
Kiesha admitted that he had read the comic Siksa Neraka, a comic by M.B. Rahimsyah is known as one of the horror books of his era. This comic does not have a linear story, but displays various torments from the consequences of the sins that are illustrated.
“So when I was in grade 1 of elementary school, I still could read it! And finally, what I got in this movie was the same scene I read in the comic," said Kiesha again.
The actor who was born on May 20 felt the excitement during the shooting process of the movie Siksa Neraka. As a comic reader, Kiesha feels that putting together the story of this movie is full of challenges considering that the comic version does not have a similar path. But behind that, Kiesha also felt mentally disturbed because the visuals of the movie were incredibly scary.
“In the past it was just an illustration, you did this sin. Well, but by adapting it from old comics to the present era where times are becoming more modern, we make a little story so that it can relate to society. For example, if it's just pictures or just a video of the sin, don't create the movie, just create a documentary," explained Kiesha.
“To be honest, my mentality was actually a bit disturbed. During the movieing process and maybe 2-3 days after movieing, because we were suggested as if we were being tortured, that was the first time. Secondly, we keep seeing blood, seeing it on our own bodies and those of other people," continued Kiesha.
“In every scene, there is definitely screaming and shouting, if it doesn't sound like torture, it will be repeated again. So the process was overshadowed by the screams of people, grimacing, being stabbed, what were they doing, so it got carried away a little," he said.
On the other hand, Kiesha Alvaro felt that there was a positive side to him after being involved in the movie Siksa Neraka. According to him, the story and movie increasingly remind people to continue to be good individuals while they are in the world.
Kiesha's mentality is also increasingly burdened by the production of the movie Siksa Neraka which earned IDR 5 billion. Apart from the CGI, this movie also uses an XR screen which is equivalent to a large projection and different from the green screen.
"About the hell in here, to affect the players because if, for example, we use a green screen, the impression will definitely be different. Because we can't suggest or imagine what the atmosphere is like. It was lured with an XR screen," said Kiesha enthusiastically.
Kiesha is trying to prove that the movie Siksa Neraka can be a spectacle at the end of the year. The struggle in visualizing this comic was also difficult because the shooting location was also filled with properties full of sand and gravel.
"There are some that are spontaneous but there are also some torture and this is not in the trailer. We really can't just play around with this torture. Because we want to talk about CGI, talk about scene progress, so there are scenes where we can't really move much," he continued.
"Every shooting is tiring. With the terrain being unpleasant, because there is sand, gravel, big rocks, without adding make-up effects, the experience of these four actors, these small children, almost 50% of their bodies are injured," Kiesha said again.
Behind his extraordinary experience, Kiesha Alvaro has his own hopes for the movie Siksa Neraka. He doesn't just want the movie to be watched but also to become a topic of conversation for the audience.

“Have you ever watched a movie with friends, then when you got home you were still discussing it? I want this film to be like that, to be discussed with my family, relatives, and this Siksa Neraka film can really be a lesson, not just entertainment," he said again.
“If I may give you a little thought, don't focus too much on hell. Because the story is much deeper than hell itself, that's why I say this is a drama wrapped in hell. So what you see is deeper and you can pay more attention and absorb it because the story is very relatable to people. Hopefully this film can be a reminder for everyone that this world is only temporary," said Kiesha.
The 19 year old actor and singer did not apply much of his character in real life for this film. Even though he grew up with several siblings, Kiesha has learned to be a leader for her younger siblings, especially when their parents separated.
“That's a lot of responsibility to be a big brother. That's why my father always warns me, 'Son, take care of your little brother,' 'Son, tell me the truth,' or 'Son, son, son,' because it's really dangerous. There's no need to talk about the afterlife, which we haven't gotten to yet. Even in this world, we as older siblings don't tell us properly, our younger siblings are the ones who fall into it, we are the ones who get hit. Because our little brother definitely obeys his big brother and he just follows," said Kiesha casually.
Privilege as Pasha Ungu's son
So far, Kiesha Alvaro is better known as the son of Pasha Ungu and Okie Agustina. Apparently, at that time he had also started working, precisely in 2010, when he starred in the soap opera Islam KTP. Until now, he is still actively starring in soap operas.
In between, Kiesha also occasionally chooses film projects and releases songs. He also acted in a series for the first time this year.
"I want to prove to my parents that I can also stand up for myself even though my father and mother are shadowing me. It will never go away, but I can do it myself. Maybe someone knows that I'm playing this film, not the one I always think of - Pasha Ungu's son - even though I'm happy!” Kiesha explained.
"I don't refuse, but I also wish I could let go. People know that my work is not only from my father. This is a privilege, a free exposure bonus. The burden of responsibility but I also don't force myself too much. I don't force myself to do something, because if I force myself, expectations will arise," he said confidently.
Not only work, Kiesha is also involved in the personal life of his parents. Recently, his name continued to be mentioned when he accompanied his mother to register her divorce. Kiesha's personal life was also discussed, especially when his relationship with a girl became public view.
"Who else wants to defend her? Indeed, when I was little, I couldn't say anything and could only listen. But now that I am heading towards adulthood, I understand the context and cause and effect, so I can take part in preventing fights, separation and so on," said the singer of Kehadiranmu.
"My mother is also 41 years old, so she should be happy, and doesn't have to experience something like this. But she have to experience it, so I have a responsibility to strengthen my mother," he said casually.
With all the shocks experienced by Kiesha Alvaro, she tried to go through the process of becoming a public figure. It's not about work, but Kiesha also tries to love the job he has been doing for more than 10 years. He doesn't mind if people will know him as Kiesha for a long time, because for him it's all a process.
“I want to progress gradually. From the beginning, I always felt that from process to process, work experience did not immediately explode but slowly reached this point. Because when people experience the process, they will appreciate their work more," he said calmly.
"This year is my 14th year in the entertainment world, so I feel like I have a lot of experience and I want to progress to my career, not just for me but for my younger siblings, relatives, friends. There are children from broken homes who struggle even though they use the privileges of their father and mother. But if you don't want to work first, can you really? Yes, you can't. The point is, try first, whether the results are good doesn't depend only on the effort you put in," answered Kiesha, ending the chat that afternoon.
