Fantagio Takes Legal Action To Spread Rumors Of Late Moonbin ASTRO

JAKARTA - Fantagio will take legal action against those who spread baseless rumors about the late Moonbin ASTRO. Previously, Moonbin's mother asked the public not to make rumors about her child.

"We initially wanted to handle this case secretly, because a lot of fans were worried about our artist, we decided to make a statement about our plan," Fantagio wrote today, Friday, June 16.

"Recently we realized some of the posts were going too far and we felt we couldn't stay silent. We've processed them legally, and we want to let you know if a similar incident happens in the future, we will respond with legal action," he continued.

The agency also continues to monitor reports as well as respond to posts that harm their artists. The day before, Moonbin ASTRO's mother wrote a message via the ASTRO community website.

"I received a lot of support from fans who came to Moonbin's place of memory. Sincerely I thank you," wrote Moonbin's mother.

"The reason why I wrote this letter was because I knew even though everyone was grieving, I saw baseless rumors. Rumors like that were difficult for me as a mother and I was worried because of these rumors that many people were affected," he continued.

The grieving fans of my child will be hurt. I don't want my child to be a source of gossip and I ask not to start rumors or spread unconfirmed news," he said again.

"I don't want the fans who love Bin to live with a hurt heart. Sincerely I thank you for your condolences," concluded the mother.

Moonbin ASTRO was found dead on April 19, 2023 at 20.10 South Korean time by his manager. Seoul Police Gangnam is planning to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of his death.
