JAKARTA - Austin Butler finally mentioned his ex-girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens for his success in playing Elvis. It is known that Butler received an Oscar 2023 nomination for the Best Actor in a Leading Role category.

Before the nomination was announced, Austin Butler's answer had become controversial on the internet. At that time, he was asked how he got Elvis' role and met the character. Butler replied that a friend said he was suitable for this pop icon.

"A month earlier I heard Baz (Luhrman) make a film, I saw Christmas lights with a friend and Elvis's Christmas song playing on the radio and I sang. My friend saw me and said, 'You have to play Elvis Austin Butler said on THR.
