In Islam, gambling, including soccer betting, is strictly prohibited. Allah has said in Q.S Al-Maidah verses 90 – 91 and Al Baqarah verse 219 that gambling or betting is an act of Satan that must be avoided.

يٰٓأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنْصَابُ وَالْأَزْلٰمُ رِجْسٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطٰنِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

"O you who believe! In fact, drinking, gambling, idols, and raffling fate with arrows, is a bad deed and includes the act of satan. So stay away from it so that you will be lucky," Q.S. Al-Ma'idah: 90.

إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ الشَّيْطٰنُ أَنْ يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدٰوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَآءَ فِى الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَعَنِ الصَّلٰوةِ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُّنْتَهُون

"With liquor and gambling, satan only intends to create enmity and hatred among you, and hinder you from remembering Allah and performing prayers, so don't you want to stop?" Q.S. Al-Ma'idah: 91.

يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ ۖ قُلْ فِيهِمَا إِثْمٌ كَبِيرٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَإِثْمُهُمَا أَكْبَرُ مِنْ نَفْعِهِمَا

They ask you about khamar (liquor) and gambling. Say, "In both, there is a great sin and some benefits for humans, but the sins of both are greater than the benefits," QS Al-Baqarah: 219.
