Taylor Swift Was Rejected To Be A Cameo In Twilight: New Moon

JAKARTA - Twilight is one of the most popular franchises in the history of cinema. Four of his films became iconic and are still being discussed today.

The director of the second film Twilight: New Moon, Chris Weitz recently expressed his regret when he rejected Taylor Swift. The singer reportedly wants to make a cameo in the film.

However, Taylor Swift's wish was rejected by Weitz. And now the director regrets not realizing that wish for a reason.

"Taylor Swift and I joined the same agency and (the agent) said 'Taylor wants to join this film - not because she's your fan but she's a Twilight fan,' Weitz said quoted by NME.

At that time, Chris Weitz refused Swift's request to be seen as a cameo by sitting in the school cafeteria. According to him, Swift's appearance can be disturbing.

"The hardest thing for me was when Taylor Swift was on the screen for five minutes, nobody could process that," he said.

"I also thought ah (because of the project) I could be friends with Taylor Swift," he recalled.

Taylor Swift was not completely separated from the world of acting. After being rejected by Twilight, he instead got the main role in the film Valentine's Day.

This year he is also one of the actors in the film Amsterdam, which also stars Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Zoe Saldaña, and Mike Myers.
