Regarding The Revitalization Of The Sultan Senayan Hotel Area, This Is What The Ministry Of PUPR Says

JAKARTA - The government plans to revitalize the Sultan Hotel area in Senayan, Jakarta, to become a green area in line with the spirit of green development in the country.

Minister of State Secretary Pratikno explained that the revitalization process will begin this year when the Sultan Hotel's building rights (HGB) expire as of March-April 2023.

Responding to this, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Mohammad Zainal Fatah said that his party had not received a letter regarding the revitalization of the Sultan Hotel area.

"I personally don't know. The Sultan Hotel is in our business, maybe at the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg)," said Zainal Fatah at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, quoted Wednesday, September 13.

Zainal Fatah emphasized that there has been no further communication to his ministry regarding the hotel revitalization plan.

"I don't know, the assets are managed by the Ministry of State Secretariat," he added.

For your information, PT Indobuildco, a company owned by Pontjo Sutowo, no longer controls the Sultan Hotel area.

This is because the validity period of Building Use Rights (HGB) in the area on behalf of PT Indobuildco has officially ended.

HGB No. 26/Gelora has ended on March 4, 2023 and HGB No. 27/Gelora ends April 3, 2023. Land management is then authorized to the Ministry of State Secretariat in accordance with the 1989 HPL 1/Gelora issued by the Ministry of ATR/BPN.

Previously, on Friday, March 3, 2023, the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) formed a Management Transition Team for Block 15 of the Bung Karno Gelora Complex Management Center (PPK GBK) or the area currently occupied by the Sultan Hotel.

This was followed by the decision of the PK for land disputes in Block 15 of the GBK area which was won by the government from PT Indobuildco. Furthermore, the government through the Ministry of State Affairs will manage the area itself.

"In line with the central government's plan to revitalize the GBK area for the benefit of the state, both sports and non-sports as well as various state and international activities, the Ministry of State Secretariat has formed a Block 15 Management Transition Team for PPK GBK Areas to utilize land for the benefit of the state," said Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights as well as Chairman of the GBK PPK Supervisory Board Edward Omar Sharif Hiariej in a press statement at the Ministry of State Secretariat Office, Jakarta, Friday 8 September.
