JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of Electricity (Gatrix) provides 450 VA new electrical installation assistance for poor households who are not yet electrified as registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

Director of Engineering and the Electricity Environment Dwinugroho said the BPBL program, which comes from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN), will target 83,000 households throughout Indonesia.

"On its way, in April 2023 it has been revised by DIPA so that this number increases to 125,000 households sourced from the use of the remaining budget for other activities," said Nugroho, quoted on Wednesday, May 24.

Meanwhile, Nugroho said, the BPBL program in Majalengka Regency was spread across 22 sub-districts and had connected 264 household connections.

"As for West Java Province itself, Nugroho said that it is planned to receive an allocation of 22,000 households receiving BPBL in 2023."

The BPBL program received a positive response from a member of Commission VII DPR RI, Nurhasan Zaidi.

He really appreciates this program because the progress of an area must be started by building qualified human resources that must be supported by the availability of access to electricity.

"The BPBL program is extraordinary, I am sure Majalengka will advance but it needs a process," he concluded.
