JAKARTA – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BCA) decided to lower the minimum transfer value to fellow BCA accounts to IDR 1 from the previous IDR 10,000.

BCA EVP Corporate Communication Hera F Haryn revealed that this provision will come into effect for corporate customers starting March 20.

"For inter-BCA transfer fees, it remains free," she said as quoted Thursday, March 2.

These facilities can be obtained by customers by utilizing various services, such as myBCA, BCA mobile, and KlikBCA.

Meanwhile, for inter-bank transfer transactions, a fee of IDR 2,500 is charged with the BI Fast feature and IDR 6,500 through online real-time channels.

"This makes it easier for customers and improves the services we provide," she added.

For information, the financial services institution owned by the conglomerate Hartono Brothers is preparing to become a wholesaler for digital rupiah distribution.

Although there has been no official statement from Bank Indonesia (BI), BCA President Director Jahja Setiaatmadja hopes that his party can participate in the central bank's strategic program.

"I have been summoned by BI for guidance as a wholesaler," he told VOI some time ago.

BCA itself is known as one of the leading national banks that has a strong transaction banking basis.
