Use Digital Transactions, Four MSMEs Fostered By Bank Indonesia Achieve The BUMN Ministry Award

JAKARTA Bank Indonesia (BI) menyebutkan bahwa empat usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah (UMKM) yang menjadi binaan berhasil meraih penghargaan dalam ajang Anugerah Proud Made in Indonesia (ABBI) 2022 yang diselenggarakan oleh Kementerian BUMN.

Head of the BI Communication Department Erwin Haryono said the four MSMEs were Lamops Cratfwork from West Nusa Tenggara, Arcia Oil from West Kalimantan, 101 Coffee House from West Kalimantan, and Palembang Souvenir House (PASH) from South Sumatra.

"This is an appreciation of our efforts to encourage digital transactions for MSMEs," he said in an official statement on Tuesday, December 27.

According to Erwin, the central bank's contribution also plays an active role in spurring business actors to continue to prioritize various national business sources.

"This is in line with the government's program which is committed to increasing the use of domestic products," he said.

In addition to the four MSMEs that received the main award, there were also three businesses in the BI guidance populist sector which also received awards at the same event. A number of MSMEs are Puta Dino Kayangan from North Maluku, Home Industri from MSMEs fostered by West Nusa Tenggara, Rajut Fayari House from West Sumatra, and Rabita from South Kalimantan.

"The Covid-19 pandemic has taught not only to think about economic linkages with the global market but how to empower the domestic economy as the main strength of the economy," he continued.

Erwin revealed that until October 2022 the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement (Gernas BBI) had recorded 20.6 million MSME merchants who had been onboarding to digital platforms.

"In the future, the development of MSMEs will continue to be encouraged to create a superior populist business sector that is competitive both at home and abroad and supports national economic recovery," he concluded.
