Indonesia U-17 Opportunities To Qualify For The Last 16 Thin, Bima Sakti Installs A Responsible Body

JAKARTA - Indonesia U-17 national team coach, Bima Sakti installed a body and was responsible for the team's defeat against Morocco U-17. Moreover, these bitter results made the chances of his team being able to qualify for the round of 16.

In the third matchday of Group A of the 2023 U-17 World Cup, Thursday, November 16, WIB, the U17 Indonesian national team lost 1-3 to Morocco. Three Morocco goals at the Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT), Surabaya were made by Anas Alaoui, Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal and Mohammed Hamony.

Meanwhile, the U-17 Indonesian national team was only able to reply to one point through the execution of Nabil Ashura before halftime in the 42nd minute. Although he could only reply to one goal, Bima Sakti appreciated the efforts made by the team and was responsible for this.

"What is certain is that these players have tried their best. They have worked hard. They have done their best," Bima said in an interview after the match.

"Regarding this defeat, I am responsible. Indeed, there were mistakes that we had to fix," said the 47-year-old coach.

Bima Sakti also apologized to the public for this unsatisfactory result. But he believes that from this moment the players who appear in the 2023 U-17 World Cup will receive great lessons.

"But this is a momentum for our football that our football can develop and continue to make progress in the future and it will be homework for all of us," said the coach.

"All Indonesian football stakeholders need to immediately do their best in the future for young people and compete," he continued.

From this defeat, the U-17 national team is still stuck in third place in the standings with a collection of two points. With this result, the U-17 national team's chance to qualify for the next round is still open, but the possibility is slim because it depends on the results of the match in Group E and Group F.
