Ramadan Sananta Ciamik Indonesian National Team Vs Brunei Darussalam For President Jokowi Impressed

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team striker, Ramadhan Sananta, successfully contributed two goals when he won over Brunei Darussalam. Sananta's appearance also impressed President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

The Indonesian national team met Brunei Darussalam in the first leg of the 2026 World Cup Qualification round at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta on Thursday, October 12 evening WIB. The Garuda squad won with a final score of 6-0 over the visitors.

This satisfying result could not be separated from the brace created by Ramadan Sananta in the 63rd minute through a penalty kick and doubled in the 67th minute. Sananta's appearance was fairly successful, even though she started the match from the bench in the 57th minute replacing Hokky Caraka.

That situation then impressed President Jokowi. The number one person in the country even admitted that the entry of Sananta in the second half managed to change the course of the match.

"All (players) are good, because playing football is teamwork. But earlier in the second half, the entry of Ramadan Sananta did change the pattern of play," said President Jokowi after watching the match at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.

For Jokowi, the victory of the national team in the first leg with a score of 6-0 at headquarters is a satisfying and entertaining result. Of course, this result can be in good capital for Shin Tae-yong's team who will play the second leg at the opponent's headquarters.

"It's very, very entertaining, right and we'll have a match in Brunei on the 17th, so I think this is a good capital," said Jokowi.

Looking at the second leg, Jokowi believes that the national team can perform better because in this match there is no input in terms of performance. He also prayed for it to continue to improve in the follow-up match.

"There is no (input), everything is good. God willing, the performance will continue to be improved," said Jokowi.
