Napoli Begins To Approach Christophe Galtier To Replace Rudi Garcia

JAKARTA Napoli reportedly started targeting former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Christophe Galtier to replace Rudi Garcia.

Napoli were Italian Serie A champions last season. However, their campaign earlier this season under the control of Garcia did not match what was expected.

Garcia was appointed coach after Luciano Spalletti's departure, the coach who brought Partenopei to lift the Scudetto. Unfortunately, Napoli's performance with Garcia contrasts with Spalletti.

Of the five matches that have been played in Serie A, Napoli have only collected eight points. Of that number, two of them got in the last three matches.

The disappointing series of results made fans urge Napoli to fire Garcia. Two of the club players Victor Osimhen and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia even showed their dislike for the coach.

According to a RMC Sport report, Napoli has also set an alarm for Garcia. If he doesn't bring the club back in the next four games then he will be kicked out.

The same report claims that Napoli President Aurelio De Badminton has returned to contact with Galtier to discuss the possibility of taking over from Garcia.

Galtier himself was previously on the short list for the job before finally Garcia was chosen by Napoli.

In addition, Galtier has also been linked to Olympique Marseille who is in trouble. Talks have also been done a few months ago.
