JAKARTA The raids on boarding houses 99, Ulujami, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta were not the first time police officers had carried out it. Locations that are often used as places for online prostitution are often carried out raids.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit Iptu Purwaditya said the owner of the place had agreed that the boarding houses would not be used as land for the production. But in fact, the activities of the production are still happening at that location.

There have been banners and posters in front of the boarding house, that they are prohibited from carrying out online prostitution activities. And it turns out that it still exists," said Purwaditya when confirmed, Friday, December 27.

However, the owner of the boarding house admitted that he did not know if the boarding houses were a place for online prostitution. With the reason the owner is out of town.

"The owner of the boarding house has not yet, because indeed from the confessions of the people, the owner of the boarding house does not understand anything," he said.

Therefore, the police plan to check the owner of the boarding house regarding online prostitution activities in his place.

"We'll ask for information later. We will definitely do that," he concluded.

Previously, the police arrested 9 people consisting of 8 women and 1 man in a boarding house 99 Ulujami, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta.

Currently, the 9 people have been taken to the DKI Jakarta Social Service for data collection.
