Dream Of Made Rita Appearing At The 2024 Paris Olympics Has Appeared Since The 2020 National Pelatnas

JAKARTA - Desak Made Rita is the second athlete in Indonesia to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics. He achieved this ticket after successfully bringing home the gold medal from the 2023 IFSC Climbing World Championships, some time ago.

The Indonesian women's speed rock climbing athlete revealed that she has dreamed of appearing at the 2024 Paris Olympics since attending the national training camp (Pelatnas) in 2020.

"When I entered the national training in 2020, there I had a dream to play at the Paris Olympics. The dream came true and I am very grateful to be able to get a ticket to play at the Olympics later," he said.

"Hopefully other athletes can follow," continued Desak Made Rita, when visiting the office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Tuesday, August 22.

Great hope is now on the shoulders of Desak Made Rita. He is expected to present a medal for the Red and White contingent.

This hope was conveyed by the Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo. He wanted to see Desak Made Rita be able to make the highest achievement in the sporting event which is held every four years.

"We hope that later at the Paris Olympics, Desak will be able to achieve the highest achievement. Anyway, we fully support it," said the Menpora.

At IFSC Climbing World Championships 2023, the Balinese athlete not only won the title and ticket to the 2024 Olympics. He was also able to break his personal time record to 6.48 seconds.

Furthermore, the 22-year-old athlete will defend the Red and White team at the Hangzhou 2023 Asian Games which will take place from 23 September.
