JAKARTA - Indonesia managed to send an additional representative in the last 16 of the Indonesia Masters 2023. This result followed the women's doubles victory, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.

In the round of 32 which took place at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 25 afternoon, the 7th seeded doubles won over the representatives of Taiwan, Chang Ching Hui/Yang Ching Tun.

Apriyani/Fadia won straight away in two games after going through the match for 34 minutes with results 21-14 and 21-9.

Apriyani/Fadia's journey in the early game was fairly smooth because they were able to collect three points ahead of the representatives from Taiwan. This is a good start because it sent the Indonesian representative ahead in the early interval with a score of 11-7.

After the break, Chang/Yang tried to catch up. They were able to add a few points but that didn't last long, because Apriyani/Fadia stepped on the gas again to take the lead in the first game with a score of 21-14.

Excellence in the first game did not make Apriyani/Fadia confident. Because at the start of the second game they actually conceded the first two points. But thanks to a calm and focused game, Apriyani/Fadia were able to close the second interval by winning again 11-4.

Continuing this good trend, Apriyani/Fadia appeared calmer but more serious than before. It can be seen from the point gap they created up to nine points, this further opened up the opportunity for the Indonesian women's doubles to finally win 21-9.

"Grateful today won without injury. But this is our first time against them, so before this we prepared our own game pattern," said Apriyani after the match about their appearance.

Even though it was the first time they met, Apriyani/Fadia was grateful to be able to finish this match with a win so they could challenge other Taiwanese representatives in the advanced rounds.

"You were still looking for comfort, because apart from the first time you met there was also wind from both sides. So we tried the field and thankfully we were able to miss it with a win," explained Apriyani.
