Francesco Bagnaia's List Of Records After Becoming MotoGP World Champion 2022

JAKARTA - Lenovo's Ducati rider, Francesco Bagnaia, came out as the 2022 MotoGP world champion. Finishing ninth in the Valencia MotoGP race, Sunday, November 6, 2022, was enough for him to break a number of long-standing records.

Pecco's achievement, as Bagnaia is familiarly called, ended the 15-year drought for Ducati riders' titles. The last Ducati rider to win the world title was Casey Stoner.

Stoner won the world title with Ducati in 2007. After that, no more riders were able to follow in the footsteps of the Australian man until Pecco was finally able to come out as world champion this season.

Not only that, Pecco also became the first Italian rider to win the MotoGP title since 2009. Finally, the Italian rider who was able to win the world title was Valentino Rossi, who was riding a Yamaha at that time.

In addition, Bagnaia also broke a record that had lasted 50 years. He equaled Giacomo Agostini's achievements as an Italian rider who won a world title with an Italian manufacturer.
