England Closes UEFA Nations League Group Stage With Draw Against Germany, Harry Kane: We Are Still Proud

JAKARTA - The final match in Group 3 of League A UEFA Nations League between England vs Germany ended in a draw. This result makes England only collect three points from six matches.

In the match that took place at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday, September 27 early morning WIB, England versus Germany finished with a final score of 3-3.

Even so, Harry Kane as the captain of the Three Lions is still proud of his team's achievements. He admitted that several mistakes were fatal when they appeared until they ended in defeat.

However, Kane saw more positives from this match. He said the team's mentality was stronger and prouder.

"We didn't win, but we are proud of what we did. This puts us in a good position ahead of the 2022 World Cup", Kane said, quoted from UEFA's official website.

Kane, who contributed one goal in this match, also made a good record for personal nicks. The Tottenham Hotspur player has now scored 51 goals for the England national team.

Kane's number of goals is only two points behind Wayne Rooney's as the record holder for the Three Lions' goals.

However, Kane is reluctant to fix himself too much on this record. Because for him what is important right now is concentrating on improving the team's performance ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

"Now we have six busy weeks before we make preparations for the World Cup. That's our main focus above all else at the moment", said the 29-year-old striker.
