Chelsea For The First Time This Summer Wins The 'War' Against Barcelona

JAKARTA - Barcelona and Chelsea this summer are often involved in competition. The "war" occurred in the player transfer market.

Barcelona and Chelsea several times elbowed each other to get game players. In fact, Barcelona is also eyeing Chelsea players.

In the last few "battles", Barcelona always won. Chelsea must be willing to lose Andreas Christensen who defected to the Blaugrana.

As announced on the club's official website, Azplilicueta has signed a new two-year contract.

"We are very pleased that Cesar will stay at Chelsea for another two years. We are delighted that our captain has shown his commitment and exemplary leadership. There is still much to be done together," said new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly.

Boehly is indeed a figure who plays an important role in the mission to maintain the Spanish player. He intervened directly to convince Cesar Azpilicueta to stay at Chelsea and rejected Barcelona's advances.

"It's been almost 10 years since I first arrived and joined the club. So I really feel the love and very excited for the new project we have," said the Chelsea captain.
