Darwin Nunez Scored Four Goals During Liverpool Vs RB Leipzig, The Best Way To Answer Supporters' Doubts!

JAKARTA — Liverpool's new player Darwin Nunez has successfully silenced all doubts about him. He performed well when his team silenced RB Leipzig in the pre-season match.

Liverpool crushed Leipzig 5-0 in a pre-season match at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig on Friday, July 22 in the morning of GMT+7 (Western Indonesian Time or WIB). Nunez was impressive in the match by picking up a total of four winning goals.

Nunez came on as a substitute in the second half replacing Roberto Firmino. Three minutes on the pitch, the Uruguayan striker immediately opened the scoring from the penalty spot after three minutes on the pitch.

He then scored the next three goals each in the 51st, 68th and 90th minutes. The other winning goal for the Reds was scored by Mohamed Salah when the game had only been running for eight minutes.

Successfully scored four goals is certainly a success for Nunez. This note can at least answer why Liverpool had to bring him with a dowry of 85 million pounds or IDR 1.5 trillion.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said Nunez's four goals could at least silence the criticism he had received.

"We always think that if you pay a lot of money the players don't feel pressure or anything," the Germany coach said, quoted by The Sun.

"That's obviously the best way to stop all these discussions. He's a different striker to what we have, but he's really good," added the former Borussia Dortmund coach.

Previously, Nunez received a lot of criticism after appearing sluggish in the match against Manchester United on 12 July. At that time, he did not manage to score a single goal against the Red Devils despite getting several chances.

He was increasingly criticized after videos of him training with the squad went viral on social media. In that session, Nunez was caught on camera shooting the ball towards goal but it was not at all accurate.
