Bruno Fernandes On Cristiano Ronaldo's Future At Manchester United: I Don't Know What's In His Head, Give Him Space

JAKARTA - Manchester United player, Bruno Fernandes, opened his voice about rumors related to his teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo. He admitted that he did not know what was in his compatriot's mind.

According to Bruno Fernandes, what can be done now is to give space to Cristiano Ronaldo. "I don't know what Cristiano said to the club, to the manager, I don't know what was in his head, but we have to respect his privacy," Fernandes said, as reported by Daily Star.

"From everything we know, he has some family issues, so we have to respect his privacy, give him space and that's it."

Although known to be close to Ronaldo, Fernandes respects his colleague's privacy. The proof is that when he got the opportunity to talk, Fernandes did not ask about the rumors circulating but made sure that his partner was in good condition.

"Like I said, I don't know what's in his head, if he wants to leave, that's all news, I didn't ask him that," Fernandes said.

The only thing I asked Cristiano, when he didn't show up, was if everything was okay with his family, he told me what was going on, that's all and nothing more.

When rumors of his departure from the Red Devils surfaced, Ronaldo further emphasized the news because he was absent from the pre-season tour. It was later discovered that CR7's absence was due to permission to deal with family problems.

Fernandes admits, losing Ronaldo will be very detrimental to Manchester United. Understandably, the 37-year-old player became the Red Devils goal machine last season.

However, the decision rests with the club and Ronaldo. Fernandes couldn't get involved in it.

"Cristiano was our top scorer last season, he added goals to us. But obviously the decision is not in my hands, it is the club that has to make choices and Cristiano makes his own choices."
