Erik Ten Hag Agrees To Join Manchester United, Official Announcement After The Dutch Cup Final?

JAKARTA - Manchester United's (MU) effort to bring Erik ten Hag to Old Trafford seems to have found a bright spot. The Dutch coach has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with the Red Devils.

However, Manchester United still has to wait for the right time to be able to announce a cooperation agreement with Ten Hag. The Red Devils are believed to be making an official announcement after the Dutch Cup final.

Reporting from The Athletic, MU still has to be patient because they also have to complete administrative matters with Ajax as the club that owns the current Ten Hag. There is also a release fee of around £2 million to be paid to Ajax although that is not a problem for a club as big as Manchester United.

In addition, the announcement of the joining of Ten Hag as a new coach for next season could not be realized immediately. That's because Ten Hag still has a big job waiting to be completed at the end of this season.

Nearby, Ten Hag still has to escort his team to appear in the Dutch Cup final or KNVB Cup on Sunday, April 17 to face PSV Eindhoven in De Kuip. After that Ajax also still had to fight with PSV in the Dutch League.

With five weeks remaining in the league, Ajax is top on 72 points, four ahead of PSV. Both teams have a good chance of winning the trophy.
