JAKARTA - The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) General Chair (Ketum) Mochamad Iriawan took quick steps by asking his party to investigate the alleged match fixing or match fixing in League 3. The Disciplinary Commission immediately held a meeting to explore this issue.

As is known, viral on social media alleged match fixing involving Bruno Casimir in the 2021/2022 Liga 3 match.

"I immediately sent an order to Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) (PSSI) to investigate Bruno Casimir between PS Siak and Serpong City. We'll wait. Today they have a meeting and I ask to investigate," said Iriawan when met in Jakarta on Monday, March 14, after the inauguration ceremony of Medical PSSI Center.

"We ask to take steps if it is proven. That doesn't show the principle of fair play there. You can't play ball, the ball is passed. So just wait. Komdis will work," he continued.

Previously, the alleged match fixing occurred in the last 16 of Liga 3 between PS Siak versus Serpong City, last Sunday, March 13. In this Group D match PS Siak was defeated by a score of 1-4 and failed to win a promotion ticket to Liga 2 2023.

Bruno's incident occurred in the 43rd minute. Bruno, who is a naturalized player, seemed to ignore his partner's bait. The ball was then successfully chased by a Serpong City player, Yohannes Gula, and resulted in a goal. The score was changed to 0-2.

After the incident, Bruno became angry with his colleague. I do not know what the underlying reason for the PS Siak captain was reluctant to accept his partner's ball and instead walked away. However, there is a gesture the player is injured.

Not wanting to speculate, the PSSI immediately took quick steps to investigate this case. The hope is that the alleged match fixing can be resolved.

Meanwhile, Liga 3 has now entered the semifinals with teams namely PSDS Deli Serdang, Karo United, Putra Delta Sidoarjo, and Mataram Utama.

The winners of the 2023 Liga 2 promotion ticket, apart from the four semifinalists, were Deltras Sidoarjo, Persikab Bandung Regency, Persipa Pati, and Gresik United.

A total of eight teams were promoted to Liga 2 where these eight teams replaced PS Tiga Naga, PS Hizbul Wathan, Badak Lampung, and Mitra Kukar who were relegated from Liga 2 2021 to Liga 3 2023. In other words, the total contestants for Liga 2 2023 will be 26 clubs.
