Despite Lack Of Preparation, Persib Aims For Victory When Facing PSM Makassar In Postponed Match

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung will undergo a postponed match week 22 of Liga 1 2021/2022 against PSM Makassar at I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Bali on Tuesday, February 22 at 19.00 WIB.

Ahead of the match against PSM Makassar, Persib Bandung coach, Robert Rene Alberts, complained that the team's preparation time was not considered ideal. Moreover, the postponed match against PSM Makassar made Maung Bandung's schedule even more congested.

In addition to the busy schedule, the unfavorable weather made Persib's one-day preparation even less. But it was utilized optimally by the coach for the recovery of players.

"We couldn't do much preparation because the weather was bad", said Robert Alberts, quoted from the club's official website.

"But for sure we have made a recovery. Of course, we also see how the condition of the players today", said Robert again.

Even though the situation is not ideal, the Dutch coach ensures that his team will play as much as possible to get the three points again.

Moreover, in the match, Persib will also have no other choice but to win. This is to maintain a position in the race for the 2021/2022 League 1 title.

"We try to maximize all preparations against PSM, all will play optimally even though we only have a little time", he said.

Currently, Persib is in fourth place in the League 1 standings with a score of 50 points, that number is five points adrift of Arema FC who are at the top.

If in the match against PSM Persib later wins, Maung Bandung will get an additional three points which can take them up to the third place.
