MALUKU - The General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Maluku Province found allegations of administrative violations committed by the General Election Commission (KPU) of Ambon City and Aru Islands Regency.

The alleged administrative violation was found after the Maluku Bawaslu carried out a funeral in the minutes of determining the list of permanent candidates (DCT) set by the KPU on November 3, 2023.

"Yes, so after the determination of the DCT, there were two regions that conveyed allegations of election administration violations to us, namely the Aru Islands Regency and Ambon City," said the Head of the Maluku Province Bawaslu Subair in Ambon, Monday, November 13, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained, in accordance with the position and authority, when there are allegations of election violations committed at the district/city level, the prosecution is under the authority of the provincial Bawaslu.

"Of course, the Maluku Bawaslu will follow up on this finding report in accordance with Bawaslu Regulation Number 7 of 2023 concerning Handling of Election Violation Findings and Reports," he said.

Subair said that today his agency is preparing all the needs related to the intended violation trial.

"We are preparing everything. We sterilize the room, determine the examining assembly and others related to the agenda of the trial," he said.

Subair melanjutkan sidang baru akan digelar pada Selasa 14 November, dengan agenda mendengar paparan dari KPU maupun Bawaslu Kota Ambon dan Kabupaten Kepulauan Aru.

"We schedule a trial for alleged violations of the election administration on Tuesday," he said.

Subair stated that the trial stage will last for 14 days. After that, it will be continued with other stages.
