Israeli Defense Minister Says IDF Enters Gaza City Heart, PM Netanyahu: We Will Not Stop

JAKARTA - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said there would be no ceasefire, when the Israeli military was said to have reached the heart of Gaza.

Saying the Israeli military had surrounded Gaza and carried out operations on board, PM Netanyahu said there would be no ceasefire or fuel supply to Gaza, before all hostages were released, warning Gaza's civilian population to move to the southern region.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that the Israeli military surrounded Gaza City and operated in it as they continued a month-long attack on Hamas.

"We will not stop," Prime Minister Netanyahu said.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said his forces were operating deep inside Gaza, but did not want to control the enclave after the war.

"The IDF troops are in the heart of Gaza City. They came from north and south. They stormed the city in full coordination between ground, air and sea troops," Defense Minister Gallant said in a televised press conference.

"They maneuvered on foot, armored vehicles and tanks, along with military engineers from all directions and they had one target, Hamas in Gaza, their infrastructure, their commanders, bunkers, communication rooms. They tightened security around Gaza City," explained Defense Minister Gallant.

Gallant describes that under the city there are kilometers tunnels that span under schools and hospitals and inside are arsenals, communication rooms, and hiding places for Hamas militants.

"I can tell you who will not rule (Gaza). Not Hamas, and not Israel. Everything else is a possibility," he replied when asked who would rule Gaza after the war.
